Our new and improved PBL

Hi Everyone welcome back to pieta'sblogathon today i'm going to be talking about my new and improved PBL. If you didn't already know PBL stands for Project Based Learning. This terms Question was How can Innovation improve our lives   so that basically means how can we make life easier. My group is called The Three Inventors  and in our group I have Me Ariella and Santara and we decided that we were going to create something that helps you take your wet suit off.  and we came up with an idea to get a shoe horn and some cream that you can put on the shoe horn and slip it down the side of your wet suit to take it off.

Our amazing Museum Trip!!!

                                          Museum Trip 

On Monday we went to the Christchurch museum.  First we went to the classroom at the back of the Museum there were heaps and heaps of activates for example: We used a drill that the Maori people used.   

Next we used a tool that the Maori people used to carve things  

Then we used a tool that created a fire 

  

   We had lots of fun learning about the history of the museum. We learned about Maori  people and how they lived then after lunch we went to look at whatever we wanted in the museum.

Netball Update:IMPORTANT!

                              Centrals Netball tournament  

Hi Everyone welcome back to pieta'sblogathon today i'm talking about a very important topic. As you probably know if you have been reading my posts for a long time that I play Thursday winter sport and I play netball. We had started the season with a great start  and ended with being undefeated. During the season we ending up being invited to play for the north zones winter tournament, we went into the tournament confident and came out winning. We soon found out the date of Centrals and became very exited the time came around very quickly and before we knew it we were doing our hair for the tournament. The 22nd of August came around and we were ready than ever prepared to win. We walked into the tournament very confident. We started the game Vs Selwyn house and we drew (we were not used to drawing games and we thought Selwyn were very hard to beat) but anyway we went to the next game. At the next game we lost against South Brighton who played very well.  then we basically played very bad for four games. But then our amazing coach Chantelle told us that they weren't playing like we normally do and to play our game not the other teams. Then that made us win the next five games VS all the amazing teams. Then we waited for half an hour to find out if went got into semi finals and we waited and waited and waited and well you get my point then our coach came over and said get your netball on point because we just got a chance to win this thing. Which basically means  get ready you got into semi finals. Then we won semi finals and were very happy. Next was finals. We were all very nervous for the finals but exited we and at the end we ended up winning  we were stoked with our results and very happy.

                                     The Institute of Sport 

On Thursday The 5th of September we had sport in the hall at our school. We did a variety of sport with Millie and Junior from the institute  of sport. First we played multi sport and multi sport is four different sports that are played together. For example there are two teams that are competing against one another   and  then they say two people and two people from the teams run into the middle and lay the sport. At the end of the day we practice tackling and a obstacle course  after we finished that all the girls asked Junior, if we could  go outside and belly flop in the mud and I got so much mud on my face and it hurt cause I belly flopped  and I couldn't breathe for ages. But overall we had so much fun and the day was great.
