What to know facts about climate change read this! I suggest you read this post!

                                        My Reading Work!

Hello welcome back to Pieta's blogathon, So in my reading group which is group Z we have mainly been reading about climate change. We have been reading books and then taking notes on them these are all the notes Iv'e taking this should give you a rough idea about what we have been reading.

Climate change is changing our planet  for the worse greenhouse gases caused by too much farming.  The greenhouse effect are a natural process that keeps our planet warm using energy from the sun. Some of the energy is trapped is trapped by gasses in the atmosphere called Greenhouse gasses (carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide are the most important) Without greenhouse gases,Earth wouldn’t be warm enough to support living animals or people on earth. Did you know carbon dioxide has been increased  and the highest it’s ever been in hundreds and thousands of years.

The earth’s climate has changed for over one million years due to a natural process such as volcanic eruptions. The earth is a lot warmer now the last ice age was over 12,000 years ago. Sustainability NASA went planet hunting they recently discovered a new planet called Kepler 22-b they say it might be able to hold human life. The planet is in the so called Goldilocks zone where temperature are not to hot and not to cold. It is about  2.4 times the size of Earth and has a surface temperature of around 22C. However ,like previous finds, it has a major drawback for earthlings. The only option to save the human race is to make sure we inhabit Earth. We need to look after Earth so then we can continue to provide resources for our future generations. All leaders from countries around the world they are all meeting in France/Paris.

Some words that I learnt reading these books are: biodegradable- capable of decomposing naturally into harmless substances, genetically modified- alteration of an organisms.

This is a photo of people striking about climate change.

Question time: What do you think about climate change?

  1. Hi Pieta,
I really enjoyed the way you started your blog, in particular your title really got my attention. You shared some interesting facts about how worrying Climate Change is. How about for your next blog you place your image in between your text so it looks better visually for the reader.
