PBL - Term 1 Kindness PBL
This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?
First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.
We created an action plan and My group decided to do something at our school hadn’t been done yet a FUN ZONE which is like a mini fair. With heaps of fun and exciting games like: apple bobbing chocolate cutting game. It was all for free you got a ticket if the teachers saw you were being kind to someone.
Reflection: It was heaps of fun and lots of people were laughing and having fun which was great. I loved how my group worked together so well.
How did our action build a sense of community in the school? I think that it helped people have fun and something to do. Because when we did our activity on a rainy day.
If I was to change one thing about our group only I wish we all brought something to contribute.
I contributed by bringing some different resources to the fun zone. Also I helped chooses the idea of a fun zone.
I think the PBL might impact on others by helping them have a great day and meeting new people and making new friends.
What I learned about working with others was to let everyone contribute ideas and hear there part of the group.
Do you have PBL at your school?
